Technology

The C-Series was engineered around its battery, not adapted from a combustion chassis. That decision shapes the frame, the weight distribution and the way the bike rides.

Drivetrain

The Savic SM1 is a three-phase AC internal permanent magnet motor producing 80 kW and 250 Nm. Drive reaches the rear wheel through a single-speed, carbon-fibre reinforced synchronous belt — no gearbox, no clutch and no chain maintenance.

Key drivetrain components are liquid cooled, which keeps performance consistent through repeated hard acceleration rather than tapering after the first few runs.

Energy and charging

The 16.2 kWh lithium-ion NMC pack is designed for real-world road riding: approximately 220 km in mixed city and highway conditions, and approximately 140 km at sustained highway speed. Range varies with speed, ride mode, temperature, payload and riding style.

Charging is AC only. A standard 10 A household outlet charges at 1.8 kW in about seven hours, and a 15 A outlet or public Type 2 AC charger delivers up to 3.3 kW in about four and a half hours. The C-Series does not support DC fast charging — it is designed around charging where it is parked.

Chassis and control

The bike weighs 280 kg with a 780 mm seat height, a 1440 mm wheelbase, 24 degrees of rake and 40 degrees of lean angle. A cast single-sided swingarm carries the floating rear wheel.

Braking is Brembo: twin M4 Monoblock calipers at the front, a Brembo caliper at the rear, and a Bosch ABS system developed for this motorcycle in Australia. Tyres are Pirelli Diablo Rosso family, 120/70-17 front and 180/55-17 rear.

Connected cockpit

A seven-inch capacitive touchscreen carries Normal, Rain, Eco and Sport ride modes plus three custom modes, rider-adjustable regenerative braking and cruise control. 4G connectivity enables over-the-air software updates, so the bike improves after delivery.

The Savic Riders App adds battery status, GPS location and a proximity key. Low-speed reverse assist helps with parking and tight manoeuvres.

Weather and durability

The C-Series is built for normal all-weather road riding, with a sealed battery enclosure and waterproof electrical connectors. It is not submersible, and the usual wet-weather riding care still applies.
